Interactive Vacation Rental Map Search Now Online
PRWEB) August 12, 2005 -- ovrentals, the vacation rental advertising website, has integrated with GoogleMaps to allow renters to find vacation rentals by interacting with a dynamic web map.
"The dynamic mapping allows a renter to zoom in and out and see where places are in relation to each other," stated an ovrentals employee, "This means that renters who are not familiar with certain areas of the USA are better able to select alternative places to search for their vacation rentals."
At the current time the mapping functions only map places with vacation rentals in the USA, and do not map the individual vacation rentals for privacy reasons.
"We had been thinking of adding mapping functions for some time, but we wanted a dynamic solution which allowed users to interact with the map, rather than the existing static mapping solutions," continued the ovrentals employee. "When GoogleMaps brought out their Application Programming Interface it seemed like the perfect fit for us."
ovrentals plans to extend the mapping functions further in the near future with a view to making them even more useful for prospective renters. The current mapping solution can be seen at http://www.ovrentals.com/maps/place.php.
