Cowboys from Alberta, Canada take a bite out of the Big Apple in a promotion to raise awareness for the province and Canada's new direct flight between JFK and Calgary
NEW YORK, Feb. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Dozens of cowboys were unleashed today in Midtown Manhattan to wrangle up excitement for the "New West". In the lead up to the New York Times Travel show starting this weekend, Alberta flew down their own rodeo stars to encourage local New Yorkers to visit their Rocky Mountain playground.
An all-around destination for beautiful scenery and fun events like the Calgary Stampede and 5 UNESCO Sites, Alberta celebrates its heritage and the people that make it so strong.
"We're here to invite New Yorkers to join us for their next holiday," says Noelle Aune, Travel Alberta's Director of Travel Media & Public Relations. "Cowboys and the untainted landscapes are just few of the many reasons Alberta is such an enjoyable place."
With over 200,000 square miles of majestic mountains, world class ski resorts, rolling prairies, unspoiled badlands, northern wilderness and two cosmopolitan gateway cities, Alberta is known as Canada's gateway to the Rockies and is now easily accessible from New York.
