WeddingNY Announces Gala Christmas Fashion Show

BROOKLYN, N.Y., Oct. 11 /PRNewswire/ — WeddingNY (http://www.weddingny.com/) is teaming up with celebrated designer Galit Galak and Russian actor Rustem Galitch to conjure up a bit of Christmas magic in New York this winter. On December 10, 2005 at 7 p.m. at Brooklyn’s Millennium Theater, 1029 Brighton Beach Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11235 (718/615-1500), guests will be treated to a lavish evening of musical theater (http://www.fashionshowtime.com/) as they view Galit Couture’s new collection of evening and bridal gowns.

The production will include: a traditional fashion show featuring Galit gowns designed exclusively for the event (photos at http://www.dress4wedding.com/); poetry by Galitch, whose acting and poetry performances have earned him a strong following in Russia and within the Russian-American community; experimental music by up-and-coming group KeyOrchestra (KeyO’, http://www.keyorchestra.com/); and ballet and opera performances. At the same time, wedding and event professionals will be available in the Millennium foyer to provide information about their services.

About Galit Couture

A native of Ukraine, Galit Galak has become known for her signature opulent evening and bridal gowns rendered in silks, satins and lace. She began sewing as a young girl and went on to develop her skills and knowledge of the fashion industry first in Europe, then in Israel, and finally in the U.S., where she launched Galit Couture.
