Zagat Adds Hotels, Nightspots and Tourist Attractions to Its Restaurant Website
Enhanced Zagat.com Includes Interactive Mapping
Continuous Updates Keep Content Fresh
NEW YORK, May 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Already the nation's leading guide to restaurants, Zagat Survey today announced the launch of its re-designed website -- zagat.com -- making it a leader in web-based travel and entertainment information as well. For the first time, the contents of 70 Zagat guidebooks are available in one place, offering detailed information, ratings and reviews of over 30,000 Restaurants, Nightspots, Hotels, and Attractions in 94 countries. And with the site's new mapping and search features, accessing and organizing Zagat Survey's unparalleled content is easier than ever.
"With all the additions we've made to the site, we hope that zagat.com will enable our subscribers to make the same smart decisions they have made for years on restaurants for nightspots, hotels and attractions -- whether at home or on the road," said Nina Zagat, co-founder of Zagat Survey.
By subscribing to the new site, zagat.com users will no longer have to wait for next year's book to get information on the hottest new places to try. Instead, the upgraded site continuously integrates new listings, ratings and reviews reflecting the latest developments in dining and travel. In addition, by using the site's new personalized list feature, zagat.com subscribers can now keep track of the places they've been and share their experiences with friends and family.
Like all Zagat Survey content, zagat.com is based on the shared opinions of thousands of consumers. People around the world provided the content on the site, reporting on millions of individual dining and travel experiences.
Zagat.com's enhancements include:
* Expanded Content - In addition to restaurants in cities, reviews of top
hotels worldwide, nightlife in 20 cities and U.S. tourist attractions
have been added to the site.
* New Mapping Tools - Advanced mapping tools allow users to view their
search results on a map, locate nearby properties and get directions.
* Continuous Updates - Major new restaurants and nightspots will be
reviewed as they open.
* Personalized Lists - Subscribers can create their own customized lists
of recommendations and email them to their friends.
* Improved Voting - New features make it even easier to cast, review and
edit one's votes.
* Keyword Search - Looking for a bargain-priced brunch with outdoor
seating? A great German pub with a fireplace? Users can now enter
multiple keywords to find a place that best meets their individual
needs.
A Full Access subscription that includes all of the site's content is $24.95 a year/$4.95 a month. The Restaurant content covering 71 major cities remains $19.95 a year/$3.95 a month.
