MIDWAY, Utah, Nov. 29 /PRNewswire/ — Zermatt Resort & Spa, a DOLCE Resort & Conference Destination, will open its first phase to the public Thursday, December 1, 2005. Phase one includes 39 luxury villas in the Chateau Hotel Villas. The grand opening of Zermatt is scheduled for spring 2006, and will feature 126 villas at Chateau Hotel Villas and 226 hotel rooms at the Hotel der Baer.

As a special incentive for phase one guests, vacationers who book a reservation at the villas before the end of 2005 will receive a free one-night stay at Zermatt’s Hotel der Baer following the 2006 grand opening. Reservations can be made by calling 1-877-269-9629 or booking online at zermatt.dolce.com.

Each of the suites features a full kitchen with stainless steel appliances, deck or patio, living area with fireplace and flat-screen TV, and a jetted tub in the master bath. Guests also have the option of staying in one of the double queen guest rooms. Rates depend on the size of the room or suite and the days vacationing, beginning at $118/night for a single room and $550/night for a three-bedroom suite.

“Phase one allows visitors to experience this luxurious new destination before our grand opening. Vacationers will experience European elegance at a tremendous value when they stay at Zermatt Resort & Spa’s first phase of villas,” said Ken Daugherty, Zermatt general manager. “Our offer for a free return stay at the Hotel der Baer creates an opportunity for these guests to return and experience Zermatt’s unparalleled amenities, including our restaurants and the Mountain Rose Spa.”

Nestled in the picturesque Heber Valley, guests staying at Zermatt’s first phase villas will have access to the area’s winter activities, including skiing, snowmobiling, snow shoeing, and cross country skiing and snow tubing at Soldier Hollow, site of the Cross Country and Biathalon events for the 2002 Olympic Winter Games.

Zermatt is also centrally located to the town of Park City and its three winter resorts-Deer Valley Resort, The Canyons Resort and Park City Mountain Resort. Park City is home to boutique shopping, premiere restaurants and the Sundance Film Festival.
