World Class Entertainment at Six Flags Over Texas; Arlington Theme Park Announces Plans for Three New Blockbuster Shows

ARLINGTON, Texas, Feb. 25 /PRNewswire/ — Six Flags Over Texas, the Entertainment Capital of Texas(R), is pleased to announce three new blockbuster shows to debut in the summer of 2005! No one but Six Flags could bring you internationally acclaimed shows from all over the world and place them under one roof, for one low price, for one summer only! The curtain rises June 4th on Spirit of the Dance(TM), The Amazing Acrobats of China, and Kathy Burks’ World of Puppets! Ladies and gentlemen take your seats … it’s showtime!

The world renowned Spirit of the Dance(TM) is one of the most successful shows ever to come out of Ireland. Winner of nine Global Awards including “Best Choreography” and “Best International Production”, this foot stomping spectacle bursts with raw energy, combining heart-pounding Irish Dance with the Latino rhythms of Flamenco and Salsa. These world champion dancers sound like a runaway express train and their frenzied skill and military precision will send shivers down your spine! Spirit of the Dance(TM) will be showcased at the newly remodeled Majestic Theatre.

In search of the “wow factor”? Behold The Amazing Acrobats of China! Displaying unbelievable grace and agility, these performers manage to defy the laws of gravity with ancient martial arts skills passed down for thousands of years. Their artistry is unmatched … their movements like poetry in motion. You’ll witness athleticism at its finest as these artists execute one spectacular stunt after another. The Amazing Acrobats of China will light up the stage and have audiences on their feet at the Southern Palace.

For the kid in all of us, Kathy Burks’ World of Puppets is a delightful and whimsical journey into the world of puppetry. Kathy Burk, artist-in- residence at the Dallas Children’s Theater, has been a master puppeteer for more than 30 years. “When I work with marionettes, I think of them in terms of the characters they’re portraying and the feeling I want the audience to capture from those characters. Puppets are great fun, and we believe the show we’re producing exclusively for Six Flags called ‘Sarah Jane Armadillo Superstar,’ will delight audiences of all ages,” said Burk. Kathy Burks’ World of Puppets will makes its summer home in the Lone Star Theater.

In addition to these three spectacular shows, Six Flags Over Texas will present a total of 12 shows including Showboat’s Comin’, Rangers and Outlaws, It’s Alright, Rodeo Monkey, the Western Street Comedy Show, Casa Magnetica and so much more. All total, that amounts to more than 20 hours of family entertainment daily from June 4 through August 14!
