AirTran Airways Weather Update

Flights to/from Pensacola, Gulfport/Biloxi and New Orleans Cancelled Due to Hurricane Katrina

ORLANDO, Fla., Aug. 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — Based on the current forecasts for Hurricane Katrina by the National Hurricane Center, AirTran Airways has cancelled most flights scheduled to/from Pensacola, Fla. today (August 29, 2005) and all flights into and out of Gulfport/Biloxi, Miss. and New Orleans, La. for Monday and Tuesday (August 29-30, 2005).

Every effort is being made by AirTran Airways to notify the affected passengers of these flight cancellations and to make alternate travel arrangements. Passengers scheduled to fly into or out of Gulfport/Biloxi, New Orleans and Pensacola through Tuesday, August 30, 2005 are being offered the opportunity to alter the travel dates of their flight itineraries without change or cancellation fees or fare adjustments. Travel must occur within 7 days of the original travel date. The airline will also allow passengers to cancel their travel to these cities booked for these dates and receive a credit to use for travel up to one year from the date of purchase.
