Houston Flights Affected By Hurricane Rita; Extra Flights Added Today

ORLANDO, Fla., Sept. 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — Based on the current forecasts for Hurricane Rita by the National Hurricane Center, AirTran Airways will operate three extra flights today from Houston, Texas, to Atlanta, Ga., in addition to its regularly scheduled flights. Extra demand by passengers has prompted AirTran Airways to provide these three additional flights. The airline has cancelled all flights into and out of Houston, Texas, on Friday, September 23, 2005, and up until 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 24, 2005, when the airline hopes to resume its regular schedule.

Passengers scheduled to fly into or out of Houston, Texas, on Friday, September 23, 2005, and Saturday, September 24, 2005, are being offered the opportunity to alter their flight itineraries without change fees or fare adjustments. Every effort is being made by AirTran Airways to notify the affected passengers of these flight cancellations and to make alternate travel arrangements.
