American Eagle Adds Jet Service Between Chicago and Flint, Mich.

FORT WORTH, Texas, Oct. 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — American Eagle, the regional affiliate of American Airlines, will add nonstop service between Flint Bishop International Airport and Chicago O’Hare International Airport beginning Dec. 15. American Eagle will operate two daily round-trip flights between the two cities using 44- and 50-seat Embraer jets.

“Our new service between Flint and O’Hare will provide business travelers the opportunity to hold meetings in Chicago and return home the same day or make easy connections via American’s hub at Chicago O’Hare to destinations around the world,” said American Eagle President Peter Bowler. “Bishop International Airport has seen tremendous growth over the past several years, and our service is designed to meet that growing demand.”

Bishop International Airport opened in 1993 and has seen growth of more than 350 percent through 2004, serving more than 1 million passengers for the first time last year. American Eagle will provide the only nonstop service between Flint and Chicago.
