Dogs Stay in Style at London’s Draycott Hotel

LONDON, ENGLAND (12/06) – Man’s best friend won’t be left out in the cold when his or her family visits the Draycott Hotel in Cadogan Gardens, just steps from London’s Sloane Square. This charming English hotel welcomes the largest to the smallest breeds. The hotel has become so popular with its furry guests that some of the regulars know exactly which rooms to trot into as they arrive.

The Draycott comprises three connecting town houses and features a lovely, leafy court yard garden to its rear. All canine guests are booked in ground floor rooms and the staff is happy to walk the pups when time allows. The hotel staff also provides doggy bowls, food for feeding time, and both city and country dog dwellers are welcomed to the homey comforts of the Draycott. While master enjoys complementary afternoon tea, pup enjoys a lavishing of hugs and pats from the ever-warm Draycott staff.

Dougal is one of the Draycott’s regulars. He will often sit behind the reception desk in the evening and watch as guests check in and he likes to have his belly tickled by staff and guests alike. Another regular guest Dalmatian once got very scared and agitated on arrival because he recognised that his veterinarian office was nearby. When the Hotel’s General Manager went outside to meet him at his car his fear turned to joy and excitement when he realised he was actually at the Draycott.

The Draycott is the perfect combination of luxury, privacy and location. The hotel offers 35 individually appointed and furnished rooms, each themed around a different object – be it an Indian ivory and ebony mirror, a satinwood table, or a Georgian-style canopy bed.

Most of the rooms overlook the glorious views of the private garden square, particularly beautiful when the cherry trees are in blossom. And, at the end of the day, master enjoys the indulgence of sleeping between the finest Sea Island cotton in a luxuriously large bed, especially made to Draycott’s own specification and designed for perfect rest. Each room comes with an en-suite bathroom containing a well-proportioned bath and shower.

Room rates are $235 for a single per room per night, $400 for a Superior Double per room per night, $506 for a Deluxe Double per room per night, and $646 per suite per night.
