“Detroit has long been a destination that was noticeably absent from our service to the East and with today’s inaugural flight, we are filling that gap and bringing low fares to the West and Mexico for Detroit travelers,” said Andrew Hudson, senior director of marketing and communications. “Detroit is an airport that is growing and we are proud to be part of that growth, offering a product unique to the Detroit market with 24 channels of LiveTV, pay per view movies, new aircraft with 33 inches of legroom along with service that truly defines our tagline of ‘a whole different animal’.”

“An important function of airport management is to provide an airfield, terminal facilities and a business plan which attracts new airlines, and which encourages existing carriers to add new service,” said Lester Robinson Wayne County Airport Authority CEO. “In Detroit, we are seeing new destinations and additional frequencies to existing destinations; and that is not the case at many other major airports. It has been a pleasure to work with Frontier Airlines and we welcome them to our family of air carriers providing service at Detroit Metro Airport.”
