ChampBoat racing boats (also known as F-1) are the fastest and most nimble powerboats in the world. Under the banner of the ChampBoat Series, the boats and their world-class drivers thrill audiences with their competition across North America. In 2006, the ChampBoat Series will feature a festival event in twelve cities including Minneapolis, Cincinnati, San Diego, Portland OR, Miami and St Louis. Maneuverability is the key word when describing these boats. Due to the shape of their tunnel hulls, ChampBoats are able to turn almost instantaneously, incurring more “G” forces than any other racing machine on earth. Champ Boats are 17 feet long, weigh just 1,150 pounds with a driver and with its 380-horsepower outboard engines can reach a top speed of 140 miles per hour.

Headed by company CEO Sharon Romano and President Tony Romano, the event is produced by Grand Prix Hartford, LLC., Milford, CT. The company has plans to continue the ChampBoat Series in Hartford, CT for the following five years.
