KEYSTONE, Colo., Nov. 18 /PRNewswire/ — With more than 36 inches of fresh snow this month and 3 new inches this morning, Keystone’s celebrating with 36 hours of nonstop action on and off the slopes this weekend. It’s the second annual 36 Hours of Keystone Nov. 18-19 and skiers and riders can take advantage of the best early-season conditions.

Keystone opened for the 2005.2006 season Nov. 11. Since then, Mother Nature has delivered a series of powerful snow storms. This weekend, Keystone plans to open two more mountains (North Peak and the Outback) and the Nordic Center thanks to the new snow and colder temperatures for snowmaking.

Keystone plans to stay open for 36 consecutive hours starting at 9 a.m. Friday, Nov. 18 and continuing until 9 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19. The festivities include a punk rock pancake breakfast Saturday morning, live bands, DJs, a red carpet premiere of Level One’s new ski flick, “Shanghai Six,” street parties and skiing/riding all day and all night.

Keystone’s also presenting a 36-hour team event for the second year. Teams of two to four skiers and snowboarders who complete one lap every hour for the entire 36-hour event are entered to win $3,600 in cash. Lift tickets for the general public are $59 and are valid for all 36 hours of the event. Lodging is as low as $36 per person, per night for the event.

A portion of the proceeds from The 36 Hours of Keystone benefit the Keystone Center, a nonprofit organization that facilitates, educates and provides public policy direction. For more information on The 36 Hours of Keystone event, visit or call 800.468.5004.
