Food, Fun, and Fireworks Are the Bill-of-Fare for New Year’s Festivities in Long Beach

LONG BEACH, Calif., Dec. 21 /PRNewswire/ — Ring in the New Year aboard the Queen Mary at their annual New Year’s Eve celebration — one of the biggest and best in Southern California. 6,000 revelers are expected to take part in this incomparable New Year’s Eve bash. The event will take place ship-wide Saturday, December 31, 2005 from 6:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. The cost is $119.00 per person and includes a general admission ticket to all parties, complementary hors d’ oeuvres, parking, party favors, and a spectacular fireworks show. Tickets for the celebration are on sale at the Queen Mary box office between 10:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. daily and are available at all Ticketmaster locations or through www.ticketmaster.com. Guests must be at least 21 years of age.

Included in the ticket price are eight different live music and entertainment venues. Guests can party hop while enjoying a variety of music such as; Salsa, Swing, Jazz, and Disco. Party favors including hats and noisemakers will be available, as well as midnight balloon drops and a spectacular fireworks display at 12:20 a.m.

The Hotel Queen Mary offers a Deluxe New Year’s Eve package, priced at $769.00 for double occupancy, which includes overnight accommodations, one bottle of Queen Mary Champagne, two tickets to the ship-wide celebration, New Year’s Eve reception and dinner vouchers, and a New Year’s Day Champagne Brunch for two. Both the dinner and brunch will be held in the Grand Salon.

Another elegant dining choice is the Sir Winston’s package, which includes one bottle of French champagne, access to the eight party bash, a seven course gala dinner in the award-winning Sir Winston’s Restaurant, preferred parking and preferred seating for the spectacular fireworks show. Included is entertainment exclusive only to the Sir Winston’s package, such as strolling musicians, celebrity look-alike entertainers and dancing to a live Top 40′s band. The price for the Sir Winston’s Gala Dinner & Dance is $250 per person. Dinner is served from 7:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Reservations are required and payment is due at time of reservation.

The $119.00 ticket price does not include drinks but it does include a gourmet array of hors d’ oeuvres served along the Promenade Deck. Party guests who have tickets may also wish to enjoy one of the buffet dinners offered aboard the Queen Mary. The buffet, offered in the Chelsea and Promenade Cafe, is available from 6:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. and is $35 + tax per person for ticket holding guests. New Year’s Eve buffet dining aboard the Queen Mary is on a first come, first served basis — no reservations accepted.
