International travelers are interested in America. The U.S. is already the third-most popular travel destination in the world. Yet there haven’t been many good sources for international visitors to obtain basic “how-to” information about traveling to America.

How To Travel America is a new website offering practical information on visiting the U.S. The site includes information on logistics, travel needs, American culture, lodging, cars, and a host of other topics. And while How To Travel America is not primarily a destination resource, it offers suggestions about some of the best places to see – and things to do – in the U.S. also includes travel news, travel tips, a currency converter, weather information, and listings of many tourism resources. A companion book, How To Travel America (which is scheduled for publication in June 2006) offers considerable more detail on many topics of interest to international visitors.

The website is translated into German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean. Of course, all the information on is also useful for Americans traveling within their own country.
